All Positions Require:

  • A commitment to justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace through ongoing (un)learning, modeling inclusive behaviors, and managing bias

  • An active associate registration or license with the BBS of the state of California

  • Enthusiasm to learn and work from a relational approach, including leaning into your own vulnerability

  • Experience and/or interest in working with adults & relationships/couples/partnerships

  • Leading a minimum of one group for a topic/population of your interest or specialty

  • An average weekly minimum of 21+ direct client hours and four to five days per week for full-time clinicians

  • A desire and commitment to fostering Kindman & Co.’s practice community & building relationships with peers and teammates

  • Required blogwriting, podcast recording, social media, and other marketing for at least 2 hours monthly minimum

  • Availability at noon on Thursdays to attend our weekly staff meeting

  • Availability to work early-ish morning and/or late evenings, and you MUST be available daytime on Saturdays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Anti-oppressive therapeutic framework

  • 3 years training/experience working with marginalized populations in social justice-oriented work and familiarity with traumas associated with systemic oppression.

  • Previous training and experience working with LGBTQIA2S+ folks, polyamory and consensual non-monogamy, BDSM, kink, etc.

  • Previous experience and training in Relational Gestalt therapy and/or PACT therapy with couples/partners.

  • Envisioning yourself in a group practice setting long-term, rather than gaining hours and then starting your own solo practice.

Compensation Package & Hours:

Please note that all new clinicians start as part-time and grow to full-time status as their caseload grows to at least 21+ clinical hours per week. We do everything we can to promote you and give you clients, but we cannot control how long it will take to reach full-time status.

Clinicians are paid multiple rates, dependent on type of work performed. The Licensed Psychotherapist Clinical Rate is $70 per hour and the Associate Psychotherapist Clinical Rate is $50 per hour during the 3-month introductory period and the clinical rates will increase after the introductory period ends and it’s determined that the job is the right fit.
