Healing happens in community

You don’t have to do this alone.

All of our therapy groups are designed to help you lean into vulnerability and curiosity. We focus on building a deep sense of belonging by honoring both our shared human experiences and the unique differences that make us who we are.

These groups aren't just about talk; they’re about practice. We help you navigate the depth of your experience and build real intimacy—both within the group and in your relationships outside of our walls. Therapy groups are also an ideal space to take the tools you’re exploring in individual therapy and put them to work in a supportive, live environment.

WHY GROUP THERAPY?

Find your people and your pace.

Group therapy can feel intimidating at first—showing up as your "real human" self in a room of strangers is no small feat. But that’s exactly where the magic happens. While individual therapy is a deep dive into your own story, relational group therapy is where you get to practice being fully yourself with others.

There are plenty of "clinical" reasons to try a group, but for us, it’s always been about building community. We are huge believers that everyone needs to "find their people”—the ones who truly get it when things feel heavy. Whether you join us in our Highland Park office or online, it’s about having support that shows up consistently, especially in those moments when you’ve felt most alone.

The Benefits of Group Therapy & Support Groups

Some of the reasons people love group therapy:

  • You’re Not Alone – There are so many life experiences that are just better when shared. Groups give you a built-in network of folks who understand exactly where you’re coming from without you having to over-explain

  • Ditch the “It’s Just Me” Mentality – SShame thrives in the dark, making us feel like our pain is our fault. Group is a place to realize that your internal weight is actually a shared human signal. There is a specific kind of healing that happens when you realize, "Oh, it’s not just me."

  • Real-Time Relationship Practice – We don't just talk about your life "out there"; we explore what’s happening right here in the room. It’s a safe space to navigate conflict with affirming support and build the kind of relational confidence that carries over into your everyday life.

  • Healing as Resistance – We focus on curiosity and belonging, helping you build an identity that feels authentic to you, not just who the world says you "should" be. To us, collective healing is a form of liberation.

  • Consistent Rhythm – Group provides a "we’re in this together" energy. Having a regular space with people you trust creates a supportive momentum that helps you stay committed to your own pace.

  • Sustainable Care – We believe therapy should be accessible. Group work is incredibly effective and comes with a more sustainable price point. We are committed to financial inclusivity, which is why we always offer reduced-fee options for every group we run.

Group therapy isn’t about being "fixed." It’s about being seen.

Whether you're looking for a support group in Highland Park or a deeper relational process group online throughout California, we’re here to help you find the right fit.

Dead Parents Club: Young Adult parent loss therapy group

Starting July 2026 — Reserve your spot now!

Losing a parent as a young adult can feel surreal, lonely, unfair—and oddly invisible. While we know this is a club no one wants to be a part of, our Dead Parents Club is a space for young adults to be with others navigating grief, identity shifts, complicated emotions, and the strange experience of growing up without a parent in your corner. It’s honest, supportive, deeply human, and occasionally darkly funny in the way grief sometimes is. No toxic positivity. No pressure to “move on.” Just real connection with people who get it.

Led by a therapist who has also experienced parent loss as a young person, this bi-weekly group helps members feel less alone while building community, support, and language for life after loss. Whether your grief is fresh or years old, you’re welcome here exactly as you are.

Chronically Human: A Virtual Therapy Group for Chronic Illness & Disability

Currently Running & Welcoming New Humans

Living with chronic illness or disability often feels like a full-time job you never applied for—one that requires constant adaptation to a body that doesn’t play by the rules. It’s exhausting to navigate unpredictable "big feelings" while the rest of the world expects you to keep up, often leading to a deep sense of isolation when others can’t see the invisible hurdles you’re clearing every day.

Chronically Human is a space to finally put down the "I’m fine" mask. We’re here to untangle your self-worth from your productivity and hold space for the grief, frustration, and dark humor that come with the territory. You don’t have to "fix" your experience to belong here; you just have to show up as you are. This is a place to be seen, validated, and understood by real humans who truly get it.

making room: caregivers Therapy Group

Currently Running & Welcoming New Members

Whether you’re a partner, adult child, or chosen family, supporting someone through illness, disability, or aging is a heavy lift. It’s a role filled with invisible labor, constant decision-making, and a unique kind of isolation when your own needs consistently take a backseat.

Making Room is a steady space to untangle the emotional and relational realities of caregiving with people who genuinely “get it.” We don’t look at worry, resentment, or guilt as moral failures—we see them as very human signals that you’re doing something incredibly difficult.

Together, we’ll practice nervous-system steadiness, share the load of emotional labor, and help you cultivate an identity that honors your role as a caregiver without being entirely swallowed by it.

Beyond the Binary: A Space for Gender-Expansive Humans

Currently Running & Welcoming New Members

You don’t have to explain yourself or your identity here. Beyond the Binary is an affirming community for trans, nonbinary, gender-expansive, and questioning adults to connect, reflect, and just be.

We explore themes of identity, embodiment, belonging, boundaries, and navigating relationships—while making space for the full range of emotion, experience, and complexity each person brings. Together we’ll hold space for the whole, complex human you are.

Facilitated by a non-binary therapist, this group is built on connection and collective liberation. It’s more than a therapy group; it’s a place to find resonance and community with folks who are walking the path with you.
